Vote for Your Favorite Story in the Spring Writing Contest

March 24, 2017 by Alice Sudlow 1 Comment

This week, nearly four hundred writers shared their stories with us through the Spring Writing Contest.

Spring Writing Contest Readers' Choice Award

READ THE STORIES

Our panel of judges is deep in deliberation over the winners, and we’ll announce the results in a few weeks. But you don’t have to wait to read the stories.

We are honored to publish not only the winners, but every story submitted in the contest. If an author chose to have their story published, we’ve published it. You can read all the stories from the Spring Writing Contest here.

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE

The fun of the contest isn’t over yet. Now, it’s time for you to help us select the winner of the Readers’ Choice Award. We invite you to put on your editorial hat, read a few of the submissions, and vote for your favorite story.

On March 30, voting will close and we’ll gather the results. The winner of the Readers’ Choice Award will receive a featured spot on the front page of Short Fiction Break.

Here’s how you can cast your vote and support your favorite story:

  1. Read at least three or four of the stories from the Spring Writing Contest. (We know there are a lot!)
  2. Vote for your favorite by entering its title in the poll at the bottom of the Spring Writing Contest page.
  3. Share your favorite on social media and invite your friends to vote, too.
  4. Comment on the story to let the author know you enjoyed it!

DISCOVER NEW WRITING

Our writers have worked hard to craft stories they can be proud of, and we’ve received some excellent submissions. This diverse collection of stories is well worth a read.

We’re confident you’ll find tales you’ll love, and perhaps even some writers whose work you’d like to follow.

And if they inspire you to try your hand at writing a story yourself, why not join the next writing contest?
