Hello SFB Readers,
There’s a lot of great stuff happening at Short Fiction Break. Here’s nine things we’re excited about:
1) On Writing
Starting this week, every Saturday the Short Fiction Break Regular Contributors will share their thoughts, tips, tricks, and insights about writing. Check out these posts if you are interested in learning and discussing the art of writing stories.
2) Writing Prompts
Later this month Short Fiction Break will publish our first ever writing prompt. Keep an eye out. We’re excited to see what stories you create.
3) New Collection of Horror from the SFB Master of Horror
In September, SFB Regular Contributor Derek Ailes partnered with James Coon to produce a fantastic new work of horror – Musings from a Demented Mind. Grab your copy by clicking here.

If you find yourself in Queensland in November, SFB Regular Contributor Victoria Norton has a spoken poem entitled Pied Cormorant on display at the Brisbane Writers Festival. The poem is part of the Bimblebox project which was designed to save 8,000 hectares of virgin rain forest that is home to 153 species of native birds and at risk of extensive mining.
