Hello Short Fiction Break Tribe Members!
We are excited to announce that we will be holding a writing contest!
We are holding the contest in partnership with the fantastic writing workshop Becoming Writer and the blog The Write Practice. It’s our first context, and we are super pumped.
This contest is going to be different than the usual writing contest.
Short Fiction Break exists to help readers find blossoming writers they want to follow, and to help writers connect with readers. In that spirit, this will be:
- A writing contest in which everyone who enters gets published
- A writing contest in which every writer who enters gets personalized feedback
- A writing contest in which every writer can get premium instruction to help them write the best story they’re capable of
To learn about the contest and how to enter, click here.
If you want to learn more about Becoming Writer, click here for a blog post from our founder Jeff Elkins about how Becoming Writer help transform him into writer.
If you know a writer or someone who talks about being a writer but hasn’t taken the leap yet, pass this contest on to them.
Finally, if you have any questions, leave them in the comments. We will do our best to answer them.
Hi: I saw the email from The Write Practice, paid the fee and am just about ready to send in my story, but how/where do I submit it?
Hey Karen: The Write Practice / Beyond Writer community will be spending the first two weeks of April work-shopping everyone’s stories together. We highly suggested you participate in the work-shopping experience before you submit as it will make your story better and grow you as a writer. I’ll let the Write Practice crew know you are eager to get started.
