There’s a lot happening at Short Fiction Break. Here are seven things we think you might want to check out:
1) If you are looking for some writing inspiration, check out our December Theme Week. We are looking for submissions on the theme “Festive Reunions.” To learn more about the theme and how to submit a story, click here.
2) SFB’s Master of Horror Derek Ailes and his writing partner Mark Cusco Ailes just finished their 2015 book tour. They are currently working on the horror anthology Catfurnado 2: Oh Meow No! Zombies and Psychotic Women. The anthology is due to be released in January. Check out Derek’s website for more information – www.derekailes.com.
3) Regular Contributor B.J. Garrison’s novella, Felix Upon His Bench, is set to release next month. A fun fact you may not know about B.J. is that he is a routine contributor to the Huffington Post. 4) Beginning in January we are going to launch a new experiment. Poetry is coming to SFB. Every other Sunday night we will be running a Poetic Pause. Keep an eye out.
5) SFB Alumi Kayla Dean’s new novel Ferocity is available for pre-order on Amazon. Ferocity is an action-packed, YA dystopian that explores familial relationships in the midst of widespread. Ferocity is the first book in Kayla’s “The Ferocity” series. Pre-order your copy by clicking here.
6) Keep an eye out for Rocket Science, a new short story by Regular Contributor Frances Howard-Snyder. It was recently accepted by Cirque and will be published in their next issue on December 21st.
7) Regular Contributors Jeff Elkins has been hard at work on his upcoming novel Mencken and the Monsters. This month he will be giving subscribers to his free monthly news letter a sneak peak.
