Twelve thirty dark night
You’re asleep by now but still
Awake in my mind.
Your beauty brings light
Removes my frights. If you’re the
Wind then I’m the kite.
We’ll travel across
Land and sea, King, Queen, I’ll love
You eternally.
We’ll take your car. Though
It smells like crayons we’ll sleep
In the back till dawn.
You and your pastels,
“I love you so!” I yell. For
You I’d go through Hell.
Your love, it’s asleep.
Through Hell I went, burning love
With nothing to keep.
Twelve thirty one dark
Night. I write. The permanence
Marking each sentence
Erases you. Wrong,
Right. I fight. I lose all sense.
Once, I felt immense.
