I write in dedication to lives lost, injured, and affected in anyway in the tragic event that took place not 4 miles from my home in Orlando at 2 am this morning. May peace be with you all.
Red hue of summer’s
Morning haze encapsulates
Us in frightened gaze.
Dead, who did nothing
Wrong, now lay, necessitate
Us to think and pray.
Said who, say it loud!
Yell your say, invalidate
Their thoughts that we’re frayed.
Shred through write now, with
Our words assimilate.
All human, all same.
